NEW DELHI - A 20-year-old man was stabbed to death in an east Delhi park Friday. Police are searching for his absconding friend with whom he had a fight a few days ago.

The deceased was identified as Prem Sharma, resident of Gharoli Dairy Farm. “We got a call that a man was lying in a pool of blood in Samriti Park in pocket B of Mayur Vihar Phase III. We rushed to the spot and took him to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital where doctors declared him dead,” said a senior police officer.

During investigation, police found that Raana, a friend of Prem, had come to his home in the afternoon and taken him somewhere. Later, Raana called Prem’s elder brother Manoj and told him that Prem had been stabbed by some unidentified people from Trilokpuri, added the officer.

Manoj alleged that his brother had a fight with Raana a few days ago and Raana had threatened to kill him.

A case has been registered at New Ashok Nagar police station. We are investigating the matter and trying to hunt Raana, who is absconding, said the officer.
