Three found dead in mysterious circumstances

NEW DELHI - In three separate cases Wednesday morning, three people were found dead in the capital under mysterious circumstances, police said.

In the first incident, the body of a 40-year-old security guard was discovered in a water tank of an under-construction building near Agrasen park in Inderpuri area of south Delhi at around 10 a.m.

The labours working over there informed about a dead body. He was fished out and identified as Pardeshi, said a police officer.

He was taken to Safdarjung Hospital and a post-mortem has been conducted.

In another case, a 35-year-old farmer was found dead in an open plot of Hamidpur village in Alipur area of north Delhi at around 9 a.m.

Some passers-by saw his body and informed us about the incident. The deceased, Virendra, was residing in the same village, said a police officer.

He was rushed to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

Police recovered empty liquor bottles from the spot. We are trying to establish with whom Virendra was last seen Tuesday night, the officer said.

In the third incident, a 25-year-old labourer’s body was found floating in the sewage drain of J.J. Camp in Bhalswa Dairy in north Delhi at around 10 a.m.

He was fished out and taken to Lal Bahadur Shastri hospital for post-mortem, said a police officer.

The deceased has been identified as Vinod, a resident of Bhalswa Dairy.
