LONDON - A British woman has been accused of pretending to be a man to have sexual contact with two female partners over a period of about nine years.
Samantha Brooks, 26, posing as a man called Lee Brooks, is even alleged to have proposed to one woman, the Daily Mail reported Saturday.
This went on for eight years with one woman and then eight months with the other, it is claimed.
Brooks faces two charges of obtaining sexual contact by fraud, which are broken down into various subsections, the high court in Glasgow, Scotland heard Friday.
The charge alleges that she pretended to each woman that she suffered from testicular cancer and that they could not therefore handle her penis.
It alleges she tried to hide her breasts from the women by telling one that she had suffered burns on her back and needed to wear bandages around the chest area.
She allegedly told the other that she had suffered a stab wound to the torso which meant she had to wear bandages and cling-film around the chest, the report said.
Brooks is accused of placing a condom on an object she purported to be her penis and using it to obtain sexual intimacy with both women.
It is also alleged that she bathed in the presence of each woman but used bubblebath to conceal her body.
She is also said to have urinated standing up, and refused to remove upper clothing in front of them in an attempt to conceal her breasts.
The offences involving the first woman are alleged to have happened on various occasions between Jan 1, 2001 and Dec 31, 2009 in Perthshire and London. With the second they allegedly took place in Perthshire and London between Feb 1, 2010 and Sep 20, 2010.
Brooks also faces a charge of assaulting one woman on various occasions between Jan 1, 2005 and Dec 31, 2006.
The fourth charge is that she assaulted the second woman on various occasions between July 1, 2010 and July 31, 2010.
Brooks pleaded not guilty to all four charges.
