Darbari, Jayachandran’s bail application adjourned

NEW DELHI - The Delhi High Court Tuesday adjourned the bail application of T.S. Darbari and M. Jayachandran, former Commonwealth Games Organising Committee officials, till Jan 14. They were arrested for alleged involvement in the Queen’s Baton Relay scam.

Darbari, a former aide of Commonwealth Games Organising Committee (CGOC) chief Suresh Kalmadi, was arrested Nov 15 by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for his alleged involvement in the Queen’s Baton Relay scam.

Jayachandran, who was sacked as the committee’s treasurer, was arrested Nov 21 for making suspicious payments to Indian-owned London-based private firm AM Car and Van Hire Ltd.
