Four hanged in Iran

TEHRAN - Three convicted drug traffickers and one rapist were executed in southwestern Iran, a media report said Sunday.

The four were hanged Saturday in a prison in the city of Ahvaz after their sentences were confirmed by the Supreme Court, the daily Kayhan reported.

Murder, rape, armed robbery and trafficking of drugs weighing more than five kilograms are among crimes punishable by death in Iran.
