BAHADURGARH - Three members of an inter-state gang of vehicle thieves were arrested and over a dozen luxury cars recovered in Haryana’s Jhajjar district, police said Thursday.

The gang was involved in stealing luxury cars from different parts of Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. Pritam, Krishan alias Kala and Shabbu were arrested from Bahadurgarh town earlier this month, police said.

Working on a tip-off, we laid a trap and arrested the accused. The gang was active in this region for over six months. So far police have recovered 13 cars, including Maruti SX4 and Swift and Toyota Qualis, Pradeep Khatri, station house officer of Bahadurgarh city police station, said here.

They used to sell stolen vehicles to gullible customers by making forged documents and registration certificates, he added.
