KUALA LUMPUR - Eight people, including four Indian nationals and four Malaysians, went missing after a cargo vessel capsized near the Malaysian state of Sarawak, Xinhua reported Thursday.

Abdul Razak Lebai Omar, operations chief of Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) Sarawak region, said in state capital Kuching that the boat capsized Tuesday, adding that 10 of the 18 crewmen were found Thursday morning.

They were sent to hospital for treatment, he said.

The ill-fated cargo vessel went missing Tuesday, possibly due to rough seas and strong winds, Razak added.
