Police officer’s wife falls, dies

AGRA - A police sub-inspector’s wife Wednesday slipped to her death from the balcony of her upper storey flat when she was trying to dump some waste, witnesses said Wednesday.

The incident occurred at the Police Lines. The victim was described as Sudha, 35, wife of N.K. Singh, who is posted with the local intelligence unit of Uttar Pradesh Police.

The flats in the Police Lines are in a dilapidated state. There have been several complaints and demands for urgent repairs, said a policemen living in one of the quarters.
