Fatal Car Crash Near Deer Park Kills Teenage Girl

DEER LAKE, CANADA (GaeaTimes.com) — A teenage girl died and a woman was seriously injured when their truck veered off the road and down an embankment on the Trans Canada Highway near Deer Lake Regional Airport.

Constable Lisa Oldford has commented that freezing rain and hail had just stopped and there was a sheet of black ice causing extremely slippery conditions. This might be an triggering factor for the accident. Officials were forced to use Jaws of Life to remove the occupants from the vehicles. The driver was taken to the Western Memorial Hospital.

RMCP are still investigating the crash which took place early Monday afternoon and the names of the accident victims are yet to be released.
