Two businessmen abducted in Bihar

PATNA - A businessman involved in coal trade has been abducted in Bihar by unidentified men, police said Saturday. No ransom call has been received by his family.

According to police, Nityanand Singh, who runs a coal business, was missing since Thursday. On Saturday, an abduction case was registered on receiving a complaint from his family in Purnia district, some 350 km from state capital Patna.

In another incident Thursday, a businessman involved in cloth trade, Deepak Kumar, was abducted by unidentified gunmen in Muzaffarpur district, some 70 km from here.

His family members said that he was abducted when he was returning home after closing his shop. The victim’ family has not received any ransom call, police said.
