Two auto-lifters held in Delhi

NEW DELHI - Delhi Police have arrested two people for their alleged involvement in auto-lifting and mobile phone snatching in north Delhi, police said Friday.
The alert picket staff of Shahbad Dairy area apprehended to auto-lifters Rinku, 22, and Satish, 21, Wednesday night and recovered a bike, two mobile phones and a gas cylinder from them.
Around 9.40 p.m., two youths came from Metro Vihar side on a bike with Uttar Pradesh registration number.
“On seeing our team, they tried to flee but were caught. They could not produce the bike’s documents. After verification, it was found that the bike was stolen from Sector-25, Rohini,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) Chhaya Sharma said.
During investigation, the duo told police that they had snatched the mobile phones from Sector-23 and Sector-25 of Rohini around three to four months ago.
While Rinku, a school dropout, was previously involved in 11 cases, Satish, who has studied up to class 10, is involved in two cases.
