Pune policeman commits suicide

PUNE - The body of a police constable was found hanging from a tree behind a police station here early Thursday, police said.

Rambhaji Thorat, 46, was attached to the Cantonment police station.

“We came to know about the incident this morning (Thursday). No suicide note was found from near the body,” a Cantonment police station official told IANS.

“We had not heard Thorat going through any bad times. Efforts are on to find the time and the cause of suicide,” the official added.
