Four injured in accidental firing

PANCHKULA - Four people were injured, one of them seriously, after they were hit by bullet splinters when a private security guard accidentally fired his revolver, police said Friday.

According to the police, Braj Mohan, the security guard, was on duty outside the showroom of PC Jewellers here in Sector 14 when this incident happened.

We have detained the guard. In his statement he said that the bullet was fired accidentally. It first hit the wall and the splinters hit four people standing nearby, said a police official.

He added: We have shifted the injured to the civil hospital for giving first aid. One of them has a serious head injury.
