Man’s genitals chopped off after drunken spat

NEW DELHI - A man’s genitals were chopped off by his friends following a drunken spat, police said Friday.

According to police, the victim has been identified as Sonu, a resident of JJ Colony in Bawana area. “We got a call early in the morning that a man was lying in pool of bloods in a sewage drain in Sector 5. We rushed to the spot and took him to Maharishi Balmiki Hospital at Pooth Khurd where doctors said that his private parts were chopped off,” said a police officer.

Sonu told police that Thursday night three of his friends called him for a party. He went along with them and got drunk. “After a dispute over some matter, the three attacked him and threw him near the drain,” said the officer.

Police said they have not been able to take Sonu’s statements as he is still medicated. A case has been registered.

“He could not recall the names of the his friends. We are investigating the matter,” added the officer.
