Eight people hanged in Iran

TEHRAN - Eight people, including seven drug traffickers and a rapist, were hanged in Iranian capital Tehran Wednesday, the official news agency IRNA reported.
The eight were executed in Tehran after their sentences were confirmed by the Supreme Court, the report said.
Murder, rape, armed robbery and trafficking more than 5 kg of drugs are among crimes punishable by death in Iran.
