GHAZIABAD - The Central Bureau of Investigation’s report in the Aarushi Talwar murder as an unsolved case will be heard by the CBI special court here Jan 7.

In her order, CBI Special Magistrate Preeti Singh instructed the agency’s investigative officer to be present in the court with all the documents Jan 7.

The CBI’s report seeking closure of the Aarushi Talwar murder case as unsolved was Monday registered in the court here. The court, however, earlier questioned the agency about what was its reason for the haste to shut the case.

Fourteen-year-old Aarushi was found murdered under mysterious circumstances in her parents’ Jalvayu Vihar apartment in Noida, Delhi’s suburban town in Uttar Pradesh, May 16, 2008. The family’s domestic help, Hemraj, was also found killed on the flat’s terrace a day later.

The CBI Wednesday moved the Ghaziabad court seeking permission to close the Aarushi murder as an unsolved case on grounds of lack of conclusive evidence.

The closure report has named Aarushi’s dentist father Rajesh Talwar as the lone suspect in the case and said the crime scene was heavily “dressed up”, which could only have been done by the parents.
