Two held for murder in capital

NEW DELHI - Two people in their twenties have been arrested here for murdering the security guard of a shop they tried to rob some days back, police said Friday.

Ali Hasan, 24, and Yusuf, 22, along with their two aides, Shabbu and Taharuddin, murdered a security guard of a wooden planks shop Dec 11. Their aides are absconding.

The four of them gained access to the shop. When they were looking for valuables, the watchman, who was sleeping inside, woke up and started shouting, a police officer said.

They overpowered him and Hasan hit him on the head with a jack rod,” he added.

On Tuesday, Hasan was arrested from his residence at J.J. camp, Bhaleswa. The information he revealed led to the arrest of Yusuf.
