UN: fewer than 5 killed in Haiti HQ, 100 missing Haiti Death Toll May Reach Thousands After Massive Earthquake Batters HaitiHAITI (Gaea Times.com)- Haiti death toll may reach thousands after massive earthquake batters Haiti. The unfortunate incident which had blurred communication with Haiti, has caused a lot of disruptions. Thousands of buildings crumbled. Well known landmarks among them are the National Palace and the headquarters of the U.N. peacekeeping mission. It is said that 10 of the Chinese peace keepers were found missing and 8 of them are declared to be dead. Haiti is full of dilapidated buildings. It is not yet known how many men lay dead in the debris. A former senator, Dr. Louis-Gerard Gilles says “The hospitals cannot handle all these victims.” He also puts, “Haiti needs to pray. We all need to pray together,” as he helped the victims. In Petionville, a press videographer witnessed a crumbled hospital where people cried for help.
