One held for making fake auto parts

NEW DELHI - A man was arrested in central Delhi for manufacturing and selling counterfeit motorcycle parts, police said Thursday.

Dinesh Sharma was arrested from his shop in Karol Bagh Wednesday.

We have also recovered 18,000 chains and 5 kg of packaging material worth Rs.16 lakh, a senior police officer said.

The Economic Offences Wing of the Delhi Police received a tip-off that Sharma, a resident of Uttam Nagar, was manufacturing counterfeit motorcycle parts.

Sharma is a post graduate. He told us that he has been involved in the illegal activity for the last many years, the police officer added.
