One killed, two injured in accident

NEW DELHI - A 26-year-old man was killed and two others injured after the car in which they were travelling collided with a tree in Hazarat Nizamuddin area of south Delhi early Thursday, police said.

Police said that the accident took place at around 1 a.m. near Sunder Nagar market.

The deceased has been identified as Javed, while Charan Singh and Dharmesh Chamol suffered injuries, said a police officer.

“After taking dinner in Connaught Place, the trio were returning to Pushpa Vihar when they met with the accident,” added the officer.

Gas cutters were used to rescue Javed who was caught in the damaged car,” added the officer.

Javed lived in Pushpa Vihar area in south Delhi and worked in Nehru Place.
