NEW DELHI - Two youths were arrested and a minor boy detained in north Delhi Sunday soon after they robbed a bakery item supplier of Rs.8,000 and a mobile phone, police said.

Mukesh, 19, and Surender Singh, 20, were nabbed from Sultanpuri by passers-by after they looted Ishtyaq, who was going on his bicycle to supply bakery items early Saturday, while the minor boy was detained later.

Ishtyaq however managed to catch hold of Surender while other people apprehended Mukesh. The minor was detained on the basis of their interrogation.

“They told us that they had no source of income and so they started committing petty thefts and robberies,” a senior police official said.
