RANCHI - Six people associated with a Maoist organisation have been arrested for killing nine people in Jharkhand’s Gumla district, police said Wednesday.

On Jan 6, nine people were brutally murdered in Taisera and Mahua Brindatoli villages of Gumla district. Those killed included four women and three children.

The killings, according to police sources, were the direct outcome of the murder of Bhushan Lakra’s brother-in-law last year. Lakra is the zonal commander of People’s Liberation Front of India.
