Agriculture ministry departmental office broken into

NEW DELHI - Unidentified persons broke into the office of a senior official of the agriculture ministry, police said Monday.

According to police, the break-in was reported Friday from the office of the ministry’s animal husbandry, dairy and fisheries department in Krishi Bhavan in New Delhi area, a stone’s throw from Parliamant House.

“On Friday morning, a ministry official noticed that two rooms were open with their locks broken in the B-wing of Krishi Bhavan,” said the police source.

Ministry officials said that no files or papers are missing and nothing seems to be stolen.

“It was a small incident and nothing was lost,” a ministry official said.

Labourers working in the building are suspected, police said.
