AGRA - Bandit queen Rusi, carrying a reward of Rs.15,000, believed to be the beloved of dreaded dacoit Vishnu Parihar, was arrested with her brother Cheepa from Karkoli village, police said Friday.

Rusi was nabbed from Karkoli, under Bah police station, 70 km from here, by a Special Operations Group team.

Police sources said investigations were on and the two were being questioned to gather information about dacoit gangs operating in the Chambal-Yamuna terrain.

Vishnu Parihar’s gang has been fairly active for the past one year, kidnapping people for ransom, and looting. Several villages in the area have been deserted.
