Sabotage suspected in Kerala lab fire

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM - Samples taken for investigation in various cases were destroyed when a fire broke out allegedly due to sabotage in the chief chemical examiner’s laboratory Friday morning, police said.

Thiruvananthapuram Police Commissioner M.R. Ajithkumar ruled out the possibility of a short circuit causing the blaze.

The fire broke out in the sample room located on the first floor of the building. It contained several crucial evidences of cases, especially those registered under the excise department.
