Army Truck Accident in San Andreas leaves 15 Injured Soldier

SAN ANDREAS (GaeaTimes.com) — On Friday morning, more than 15 soldiers were injured when their truck crashed into a mountainside while coming down a narrow downhill road in Barangay, San Jose.

According to Lt. Col. Danilo Aquino, commander of 83rd Infantry Battalion, the soldiers were returning from Virac to their camp in San Andreas when the trucks brake failed. Aquino said the truck was trying to avoid trimobile (an expanded type of tricycle used in the provinces) full of passengers when the military vehicle slammed into the mountain slope and fell on its side around 9:30 a.m.

Four of the 15 injured soldier suffered multiple bone fractures while 11 others suffered major to minor bruises. An investigation has been started to find the cause of the accident.
