Griswold Car Crash Survivor Still in Critical Condition

GRISWOLD (GaeaTimes.com) — The only survivor of the Griswold car accident, Joel Gallup is still in a critical condition at Yale New Haven Hospital. The accident took place on Tuesday night and claimed the lives of four.

16 year old John Clapper was driving a car when it crashed on Route 201. His girlfriend 16-year-old Sativa Cornell was also killed in the crash; the car belonged to her mother. According to the Police, John did not have any drivers license. 15-year-old Steven Szklar and 16-year-old Dillon Clifford also died in that crash. Only Joel made it to the hospital alive. But he still remains in a critical condition.

The reason behind the crash is still under investigation.

A boot drive will be held Friday to benefit the families of the accident victims. The Jewett City and Griswold volunteer Fire Departments will be in charge of the drive that will run from 9a.m. to 8pm. in front of the Griswold Town Hall on Main Street. The money that will be collected will go to a special fund that will help the families with funeral costs.
