Six killed in China internet cafe blast

BEIJING - At least six people were killed and 37 injured in a powerful explosion that ripped through an internet cafe in China’s Guizhou province Saturday night, a media report said Sunday.

The blast occurred at around 10.30 p.m. in Kaili city in Miao-Dong autonomous prefecture of Qiandongnan, Xinhua reported citing government officials.

The blast turned the cafe into complete ruins and also damaged nearby buildings.

Police are yet to confirm how many people were inside the cafe at the time of the blast and the cause of the explosion.

The victims were yet to be identified.
