Accountant dies on hearing corruption charge

LAHORE - An accountant of a school in Pakistan’s Multan city suffered a heart attack and died after the teaching staff levelled corruption allegations against him and the principal.

Ehsan Ghauri, chief accountant of the Multan Public School, died Monday following a heart attack after the teaching staff, during a protest demonstration, charged him and the principal with corruption, Dawn reported Tuesday.

Khurram Agha, a senior official, reached the school on learning about the protest and began negotiations with the protesting staff.

In the meantime, Ghauri suffered a heart attack and died before he could receive any medical assistance.
