CBI books RPF inspector for graft

MUMBAI - The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) have registered a case against a Railway Protection Force inspector for indulging in corruption, an official said here Friday.

Arvind Kumar Yadav accumulated benami assets in the name of his wife Sushma, mother Kaushalya, cousin Amit Yadav, friend Narendra Kumar Dubey and uncle Brahamdev Yadav to the tune of more than Rs.61 lakh, a CBI spokesperson said.

The CBI and ACB Friday conducted searches at six places in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. Cash of more than Rs.13 lakh was found at his residence.

He has several bank accounts with deposits of around RS.9.75 lakh and invested around Rs. 9.50 lakh in shares, the spokesperson added.
