Raj Thackeray’s party office burgled

MUMBAI - The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena’s head office was burgled Monday and some important documents and some cash taken away, a party official said.

The incident came to light this afternoon when the office head, Harshal Desphande found a small locker in Rajgad office lying open, MNS vice-president V. Saraswat said.

“Some important papers, party documents, some chequebooks and petty cash of Rs.2,000 have gone missing,” Saraswat said.

A complaint has been lodged with the nearby Shivaji Park Police Station and investigations are on.

MNS chief Raj Thackeray lives a short distance away from the party office which is also manned by private security personnel round-the-clock.
