NEW YORK — New York City police say two pleasure boats have collided in the waters near the Statue of Liberty, and at least two people were injured.

Police and U.S. Coast Guard emergency crews transported two patients to hospitals in New Jersey on Friday. Their conditions weren’t immediately known.

It’s not clear if anyone was pulled from the water near Liberty Island in New York Harbor.
