BANGALORE - External Affairs Minister S.M Krishna Friday said that the home ministry is continuously monitoring the extent to which the Maoists get help from forces outside India.

Krishna was replying to questions in the wake of a train accident in West Bengal’s West Midnapore district that left 65 people dead and over 200 injured. Officials suspect sabotage by Maoist guerrillas.

“In all such incidents, which could be accidents, the home ministry is continuously monitoring the extent to which there is any role of institutions internally or institutions externally, in order to create confusion or restlessness in India,” Krishna said.

He further said that the government is waiting for a detailed report on the accident.
