TAIPEI - Four people have been executed in Taiwan on murder charges, officials said Saturday.

Taiwan, which had suspended execution of murderers since December 2005, executed the four convicts by shooting them Friday evening, judicial authorities said.

Two of the executed - Chang Wen-wai and Chang Chun-wang - had respectively killed their adopted son and adopted daughter. One convict, Or Sai-ming, had killed two people and dumped the bodies in a pond, while the fourth convict, Hung Chan-yiu, had shot dead three people amid debt disputes, Xinhua reported.
