JAKARTA - An undersea earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale struck off Indonesia’s Bali island Friday, the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency said.

The quake occurred at 1.43 a.m., at a depth of 10 km under the seabed, 210 km southwest of Bali, an official of the agency told Xinhua on phone. No tsunami warning was issued.

Indonesia sits on a vulnerable quake-hit zone called the “Pacific Ring of Fire”.
