Three killed as mini bus overturns in capital

NEW DELHI - Three people died and 17 were injured when a mini bus overturned near the Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) in north Delhi Wednesday, an official said.

A mini-bus plying from Wazirabad to ISBT overturned at around 8 a.m. near Majnu Ka Tila.

Three people, including a student, were killed and 17 passengers injured in the accident, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Sagar Preet Hooda told IANS.

According to eyewitnesses, the accident happened after a tyre of the mini bus burst.

The rear tyre of the mini bus burst and the driver lost control over the vehicle which overturned, an eyewitness said.

The three people died on the spot. The injured, including several students, were taken to the ISBT Trauma Centre.
