Two children injured in bomb blast

KOLKATA - Two children in West Bengals West Midnapore district sustained serious injuries Saturday when crude bombs kept in a plastic bag in front of a Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) party office went off, police said.

“Two children were admitted to Midnapore Medical College and hospital. We are investigating how the bombs came there, said West Midnapores Police superintendent Manoj Verma.

Witnesses said the children were returning home from school when they noticed the plastic bag laying abandoned before the CPI-M party office in Goaltore. They got curious, lifted the bag and started searching, leading to the explosion.
