Man survives shark attack in Australia

MELBOURNE - A 59-year-old man was attacked by a shark in western Australia’s Exmouth town, but lived to tell the tale.

After Saturday’s attack, the man received at least 50 stitches on his arm at a hospital.

Police said the man was snorkelling on the west side of Exmouth in Lakeside sanctuary with his wife when he was bitten on the elbow by an unidentified shark, Perth Now reported. Exmouth on the tip of the North West Cape, a large peninsula of land.

The man was a tourist from Victoria.
