Factory owner robbed of Rs.5 lakh

NEW DELHI - A steel factory owner was robbed of Rs.5 lakh Monday morning by armed motorbike-borne men while he was going to deposit the money in a bank in north Delhi’s Wazirpur area, police said.

Deepak Jindal (42) was robbed around 10.33 a.m. after the culprits threatened him with a gun.

As soon as he left his house in his car, the bike-borne assailants intercepted his vehicle and snatched the bag carrying the money, said a police officer.

Deepak made a call to the police control room and registered a complaint in the Shalimar Bagh police station.

There were indications of the involvement of his friend or relative who knew that he was going to deposit the money.
