Woman crushed to death

NEW DELHI - A 55-year-old woman was crushed to death when a speeding car hit her in east Delhi Monday morning, police said.
“Raj Dulari was walking to the medical store in Gokulpuri area at around 10.30 a.m. with her grandson when a speeding Chevrolet Tavera with an Uttar Pradesh registration number hit and ran her over. Her grandson also sustained injuries in the incident,” a police official said.
The two were taken to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, where doctors pronounced Raj Dulari dead. Her grandson is recovering.
“The car driver fled from the spot and the vehicle has been impounded,” added the official.
