Car Crash near Grassington Kills 2, Injures a Couple

GRASSINGTON (GaeaTimes.com) — A couple from Grassington are recovering in hospital after a crash in which two people died.

The couple, who are in their 50s, were in a green Audi A8 car, which was in a head-on collision with a red Peugeot 306 on the B6165 Ripley to Pateley Bridge road near Summerbridge on Tuesday afternoon.

The occupants of the Peugeot, a 37-year-old Knaresborough woman and a 32-year-old man from Harrogate, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police reported that the Grassington couple sustained serious, but non life-threatening injuries, and are being treated in Harrogate District Hospital.
