NEW DELHI - A 23-year-old girl jumped off from the Moti Nagar flyover in west Delhi early Thursday morning after texting “sorry” to her brother, police said.

The BPO employee and resident of Paschim Vihar drove to the flyover from her home, parked her car on a side and took the fatal leap around 7.15 a.m.

She was taken to the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital where she was pronounced dead, a police official said.

“Her brother received two text messages before she died. One of them just said ’sorry’,” said the official.

Deepti was an employee with a Noida call centre and had returned home after a night shift.

Police retrieved a diary from her car and are checking the previous call details of her phone.

We are checking the call details of Deepti’s phone. We are also trying to get the details of those who were in touch with her before she jumped to death, said a senior police official.

The cops are also talking to the victim’s family, friends and colleagues.

“We are examining whether she was depressed over some issue in office or personal relationships. We are also checking whether there was any family related issues, added the official.
