Car Crash in Stephenville Kills 1, 3 Injured

STEPHENVILLE (GaeaTimes.com) — On Thursday, a 86-year-old man was killed and three more were seriously injured in a car crash in western Newfoundland.

According to RCMP, the person who was killed was sitting in the passengers seat when the car went out of control on West Street in Stephenville. The car left the roadway and crashed into an upward embankment. Due to the collision, the car went airborne and sheared off a pole before landing on it’s roof.

Two of the three injured person are now being treated in St. John’s for life-threatening injuries, while one of them is under stable condition in Corner Brook.

Although Police are not suspecting alcohol as a factor, but they are checking whether the man who was driving the car had a medical condition.
