GREATER NOIDA - The Noida police are seeking the extradition of a Canada-based man who hired a contract killer to kill the ‘boyfriend’ of his wife who had deserted him.

The killers attempted to kill Ravi Nagar Nov 5 when the swimming coach was travelling in a car with the Canadian’s wife at the main gate of Greenwood Apartments here.

Superintendent of Police Atul Saxena said that Anita, 35, deserted her husband whom she married in 1995 and started living with her father in Greater Noida.

Anita and Ravi Nagar reportedly became friends when she used to take her 12-year-old son to the latter for swimming lessons.

Police said Anita’s husband Sukh Dev, who lives in Canada, hired contract killers to kill Nagar.

“We have recovered the weapon used in the crime and have arrested three men. They have admitted the involvement of Sukh Dev. We are trying to get him extradited,” said the officer.
