MELBOURNE - An Australian man rammed his car into his home and allegedly injured a police officer after having an argument with his partner, a media report said Thursday.

It is believed the 22-year-old man had argued with his partner before ramming his Toyota LandCruiser car into the front of his home in Melbourne Wednesday, the Herald Sun reported.

The man then left in the car before police could arrive.

He returned later in the evening and had to be subdued with capsicum spray after he allegedly damaged the police car and injured a police officer.

The man was charged with conduct endangering life, assaulting police and criminal damage, the report said.
