LONDON - A man in Britain shot the video of a screaming baby boy whom he repeatedly tortured, leading to his death from horrific injuries.

Charlie Hunt, who was 15 months old, died of severe head injuries after Darren Newton allegedly carried out a string of sadistic attacks. The attacks were recorded on a mobile phone, The Sun reported Thursday.

The shocking video clips were shown to a jury.

Newton recorded the cruelty while he was alone with the boy when the boy’s mother and his girlfriend was out.

He even gave titles to the clips like “Crying, no toys in pen, ahhhh”, “Squeezing toe in cot”, “Two minutes of pain” and “Shivering, no water”, which was of Charlie naked in an empty bath.

A graphic clip showed Newton hitting Charlie 12 times on the head, forcing his finger in the crying child’s ear and viciously kicking him as he lay on the floor.

Two weeks later, Charlie died after he was again attacked but not filmed.

“The defendant (Newton) took pleasure from his cruel and wicked behaviour.

“He hit Charlie on the head time and time again. He not only filmed his actions but he titled them as well. The only logical explanation is that they were retained for repeated viewings later,” Prosecutor Denis Watson was quoted as telling the Manchester Crown Court.

The truth came to light only after Charlie died when investigators found videos on Newton’s phone.

Though he claimed Charlie had a fit, doctors said “a deliberate application of force” had caused retinal bleeds in both eyes, optic nerve damage, a swollen brain and bleeding to the brain.
