NEW DELHI - Congress president Sonia Gandhi Tuesday visited a hospital to meet some of the 130 people injured in a building collapse in east Delhi that has claimed at least 65 lives.

At least 28 of those injured in Monday’s incident are admitted to the Lok Nayak Jayaprakash (LNJP) hospital. Sonia Gandhi consoled the injured and their family members and also spoke to the medical superintendent.

Delhi Health Minister Kiran Walia, who had also visited the hospital Tuesday, told reporters that at least 65 people were killed and 130 injured when the illegal, five-storey building collapsed in east Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar area.
