Iowa Plane Crash Claims Life of 1 person

MILFORD, IOWA (GaeaTimes.com) — A plane crash near Milford, Iowa has claimed the life of a businessman from Texas on Wednesday afternoon.

The officials have identified the body as 67-year-old Geary Gearn of Hereford, Texas. Gearn was the owner of cattle feed mill business named Gearn Industries Inc. for about 40 years. Office manager Deena Richards says Gearn took a commercial flight to Minnesota, intending to fly about 1,000 miles from Air Lake Airport in Lakeville, Minn., to Texas.

The single engine plane that has crashed was a Swearingen SX300. Federal authorities are investigating the crash.
