Delhi Police bust biker gang

NEW DELHI - Delhi Police Monday arrested eight members of a biker gang involved in around 30 cases of murder, robbery and vehicle thefts. One pistol, a revolver, several mobile phones and some cash were found from them.

Acting on a tip-off, police arrested them from different locations in Delhi. They were involved in 21 cases of robbery and dacoity, two cases of murder and several other cases.

They also carried out betting, police said.

“They committed eight armed robberies and committed a murder in August,” a senior police official told IANS.

To avoid arrest, the gang changed the number plates of the stolen automobiles and abandoned the motorcycles after committing two-three robberies.

Police have recovered a pistol, one revolver, six rounds of live cartridges, a knife, seven mobile phones, four stolen bikes, Rs.40,000 and aluminium wires worth Rs.20 lakh from the gang.
