US couple kidnapped near Yemeni capital

SANA’A - A US couple and their Yemeni driver were kidnapped by gunmen near the Yemeni capital Monday.

A security official told Xinhua that tribal gunmen in Bani Mansour area kidnapped them when they were on their way from Sana’a to the western province of Hudaydah.

The gunmen kidnapped the group to press the Yemeni government to release one of their relatives, the official added.
